Is is really the Original birth certificate(of my sisters) that is required while applying for visitor visa B2 (sponsored by my sister)? I only have the photocopy of my sisters birth certificate but on the webite it has mentioned that original birth certificate will be required.

No, that's not a required document. Where did you see that?
