Tourist - 5 Months stay and immigration

i am planning a U.S. trip soon and i have a B1/B2 visa and visitng for the first time.
Now, according to my research 5months is a long time and it will be hard to satisfy the Immigration officer.

Do i run a risk of denial of entry ?
If yes, maybe i can cut short my trip to 2months then as it is normal what most tourist stay.

Hi,
Most of the time you will get B visa entry with 6 months validity. Kindly stick with the Itinerary duration that you would have given/ shown at the time of Interview.
