Need information on Visitor Visa for US

Hello Immihelp Friends,

I want to sponsor my father and he recently got his passport with SURNAME but on my passport my father's name is without SURNAME.

Please advise me, is he needs to change his passport without SURNAME?, or no needs to change the passport, his current passport should work?
