CEAC Barcode entered wrongly when scheduling appointment

Hi,

I scheduled appointment for my Mom and Dad..while scheduling appointment i by mistake entered my Mom's bar code wrongly ..instead of a O i entered 0 its DUO01 i entered DU001 ..My Dad bar code i entered correctly ..scheduled appointment ,.i did not notice this while i am scheduling ..later i realised..is this a big issue..or can we just tell during interview that the CEAC bar code we entered wrongly for one applicant..pls help..

Hi -

Please let me know what happened in your case. Similar thing happened in my parent's case. While taking the appointment, the system was shut down by mistake and the appointment got scheduled with a wrong CEAC number. My parents have a appointment next week. I am not sure if they should be cancelling their appointment or they should take a chance and explain it to the visa officer.

If you have time, reschedule with correct details.
Else you can try explaining to the officer that it's typo.

Else contact VFS Helpline.

CEAC barcode typo

Hi all,

I made the same mistake. After submitting my application on the vfs site I realized that there was a typo on the CEAC barcode. Please let me know what were your experiences. Can I just take the print out of my DS 160 and bring it to the attention of the consulate staff during the day of my interview?

Any help will be appreciated.

I am in the same boat, can someone share their experience . I have by mistake typed O instead of 0

I had the same issue when I filled by dad-in-law's appointment. Dont worry, just tell VFS that and over write it with a pen.
That's what the VFS person did for us. I mean overwrite on Intv appointment confirmation page. You anyways give ur CEAC print out with it, so it shud be fine.

Is the CEAC confirmation barcode present on the application form enough as I realised that I didnot print out the confirmation page.... Can anyone pls guide me on this matter.
