  • Suspicious email after visa approval

Hi All - my visa has been approved and affixed to passport. however, i have now received an email from Magboul, Abubaker M (FSN) <[email protected]> requesting information on my travel and residence history. The person earlier said that my US visa application will be cancelled if i do not reply to him with the requested information. When I told him that my visa is already processed, he then said that it will be cancelled if i do not reply with the below information

Please note that his email ID has "associates" in the domain. I do not understand why am i being asked for the information even after visa is approved.

    Any idea ?

The email is definitely suspicious and you should contact the US consulate that issued your visa and let them know about this email.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.

take his email and forward it to the us consulate. Ask them to verify this address. That should clear things up.
      --Good luck--
Good luck. I learned the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Immigration is interesting. Not considered as legal advice.
