Hello,
I am an Indian national but working and residing in UAE since 7 months. I want to visit my brother who is in USA since 3 years on a H1B visa. I applied for B2 visa at the American Embassy in UAE, but was rejected. The consular officer told me that I do not have sufficient ties to the UAE, as I have been residing here for only 7 months. She said I should reapply when I have spent some more time in my job in UAE. I wanted to know whether I should try applying again for the B2 visa from India? Would that make my chances any better? Also, while applying the last time I was sponsoring my trip myself. Would it be better if I get a sponsorship letter from my brother the next time I apply for the visa?
