Applying for Tourist visa

My bro is in US since past 8 years and me along with my parents are planning 2 weeks stay with him and visit few places. I have following queries

- I got 2 rejects 7 years back when I applied for F1 visa and my dad has 1 reject 4 years back for Business visa. Will this have any bearing?
- Do I need to get any invitation letter or document from my bro?
- Me and my dad are working, would you advice showing my bro as the sponsor for this trip?
- Should we have travel tickets at interview?
- How much min bank balance would you advice?
- My dad owns a house, I have taken one on a loan and though my bro is in US he too has taken a house here on loan, can these house be shown as property?
- While applying for F1 visa we had made an asset statement enlisting bank balance, stocks, gold, bonds, property, etc.... do we need to carry something similar?

Thanks.. I went through the forum and most of my queries were resolved. I have following 2 queries, please guide

- Since we going as a family.. me and my dad can take interview in English but we want Hindi for Mom. How do i go about this coz when we submit form online as a family there is no separate choice for each individual

1. If you or your father can show that you can take care of the trip yourself, no need for any sponsor. Otherwise, you need it.

2. No.

3. If anyone in the family can speak English and you are going together for an interview, the appointment can be in English.

In the "Visa Sponsor Documents" section it is mentioned that parents should carry "Original Birth Certificate" of child if he is the sponsor. In our case, along with our parents I too will be traveling to meet my brother. Is my Birth certificate required too or is there any other document I need to carry to establish relationship with my brother or parents?
