Hi,

I got a RFE for my L2 EAD renewal. Both my and Spouse's L1(blanket) visa got expired but our I-94 is valid until Apr'21. My spouse company immigration said they will initiate the L1 extension only 6 months prior to I-94 expiry. My current EAD is expiring in Aug'20. I applied for renewal. the status changed to RFE asking for below mentioned docs

1) Principal applicant's I797, I129s, valid Visa(or extenuation/change of status) and 4 recent pay stubs
2) My valid L2 visa with my spouse name and employer details.

We don't have L1/L2 valid visa or approved extension. How do I move forward? should I contact an attorney to help respond to the RFE?

Visa is merely for entry purpose. Its your petition & I94 which matters for your EAD renewal. What's is mentioned in your blanket petition or PED in your visa?

Since it is L1 Blanket Petition it is valid indefinitely. PED in my visa and I129s validity is until May'19

So the primary applicant's petition is already expired May 2019.

If I am not confused with your dates, though the primary applicant has valid I94, he should not work post petition expiry (Blanket is giving to your company, your I129S will define your petition expiry, which you said is already expired in May 2019)
