B1/b2 ???

Did any one have a similar case ??

My parents want to visit us for 3 monts in the US and at the same time they have a conference(regarding the work they do in India) in the US which they want to attend. Which visa should he apply B1 or B2 ??

But will it be the same. Can they stay for 3 months after the conference and will the visa be of Six months ??

Visa is issued as B1/B2 together.

In this kind of scenario, it may be best to take both kind of papers together for interview and explain them what is going on. Let them decide what they want to do.
