Visitor visa appointment for medical emergency

Hi,

I'm residing in the US and my wife has recently been diagonized with cancer. I would like to bring my Mom to be with us for couple months to give us support during this difficult situation. We are planning to start the treatment only after she comes to the US. We would like to apply for a visitor visa, but there are no immediate appointments available for visa interview. I could find visa appointment dates only after 20 days are so. Can my wife's situation be stated as a reason to get a emergency visa appointment for my Mom?
