Questions on I-134 (already read the given instructions)

Hi,

I have couple of question while filling the I-134 form.

1. In the section 9 where previously submitted affidavit details needs to be given. What would be the submission date?
2. If it is the date when application was submitted, how do I get that date since I dont remember it?
3. In the section 8 - first row, "Relationship to me" column is not being printed i.e. I am not able to see anything when I type. I have downloaded the latest form though. How do I proceed further?

I had the same issue while filing the relationship column. I left that column black and after taking the print out, I filled that column using a pen

USCIS recently released the new version of the I-134 in May 2010. It has the bug where the relationship in Section 8 does not print. Or rather, you are not allowed to enter anything.

We have prepared our own fillable version of that form. It is available online at https://www.immihelp.com/form-i-134-...pport-us-visa/ It should fix that problem.

Please try it and please let us know if you see any problem with using that form.

It is not only that issue, but the digital signature is broken too in this May 2010 version. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Till then you can use the URL http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf with a capital “I”. Cheeky, but this old version works.

Please clarify what you mean by 'Digital Signature'.

The signature of the sponsor field in the form should show a small arrow. By clicking it user's digital signature (usually the full name, company etc) gets updated in the field. After this step I think the form also becomes read only. There is no need to manually sign the form after printing it. Since the sign is digital, the form can be emailed easily to your relative in India. There is no need to send it in an international mail.

This is broken in the May 2010 version forcing the sponsor to physically sign the document. The old version in the URL below supports digital signing.
