  • Visiting US from New Zealand

    Hi,
My friend has 10 years B2 Visa, she visited end of Jan 2020 but we could not go anywhere due to Covid and there was some family event which we had to postpone to September. We are planning her for another visit in September since the US is reopened again. New Zealand has not many cases compare to US. I dont see any restrictions for visitors to travel to US and flights are starting from August from NZ to US. Would she be possible to visit US as a visitor to spend some time with us or would there be a problem, if she needs to wait, how long should she wait? Please advice.

She can enter the US by air.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Yes she can. But the bigger question is why ? Why would a person from an extremely safe country, that has covid under control, come to the US. Especially as the cases continue to rise here.

Thanks for your replies, the reason she wants to visit is we had a family event which we have postponed it to September due to lockdown during his visit. Do you guys think it will be hard to convince the immigration officer during the stamping at the airport?

Does any one know who came to US as a visitor during this pandemic? If so does the stamping was easy at the airport?

          She won't have any issues.
