sponsor personal documents required at what stage?

Hello,

My husband is sponsoring my parents. The visa process is being handled by an agent in India. I need to clarify that the sponsor documents need not be submitted / required to schedule an interview. It is required only at the time of the interview, i.e., my parents will be carrying it with them. am I understanding it right.....Please clarify.

As agent is asking our documents to schedule an interview. I do not want to reveal our personal/financial info to anybody else but to my parents. Please let me know if i am wrong.
