visitor visa about to exipre

Hi,

I have a quick question.

I have a 10 year multiple entry visa that will expire in 2 months. If I appear at the port of entry today, how long will the immigration officer allow to to stay in the US.
In the past I always got a 6 month I-94, but with visa expiring in 2 months will he/she give me a 2 month or a 6 month I94. Is there a rule or does it depend solely on the discretion of the immigration office.

Visa stamp is used only to enter the U.S.

You can enter on the last day of the visa stamp validity and you may still be given 6 months I-94.

In other words, I-94 validity is independent of visa stamp validity.
