I am planning to apply for visitor visa for my parents.
My father is retired government employee and my mom is a house wife. I have a married brother with children in India. My father owns some property and receives pension.
I thought having family ties back in India and having a considerable amount of property will be a good reason for the consulate officer to believe that my parents will return back to India.
But I am worried about my fathers occupation status. If I show the occupation status as Retired in DS-160 form, will that become a reason for rejection since he is not professionally active.
Any advice in this regards in greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
