Regarding Appointment letter: Urgent

Hi,

I booked appointment for my parents visitor visa. while downloading the appointment letter of my father it is asking all the information that i gave while scheduling the interview... It seems i have a mistyped my grandmother's name while scheduling. so now it gives me message, mothers name invalid.

I was able to download my moms appointment letter with out any problem, after providing the details.

Now I am trying diff combinations of my grandma's name, and trying to download my father's appointment letter.

Is there any other way I can get this appointment letter, from any VFS office..or do i need to download it online only?

Please let me know the solution.

Sorry to hear about it. Its really hard to get visa dates available online & after getting it, if such problems comes in our way, than its real frustrating..
Well now about your query..You can download appointment letters only through their website ( means online only)..there is no service at any US embassy out of five in India where you can just go and pick it up.
It would be good for you if you go and fill DS-160 form in the meantime & get the new confirmation no. asap, so that whenever you see open dates you are able to take appointment for your dad..You can always fill DS-160 as many times you want untill you have taken visa appointment date..
I just took visa appointment date for my mom (Delhi Consulate) in English..Dates showed up just for 10 mins..Don't know why they made this new system of getting Visa dates..Just to harass innocent ppl or making a new way to earn money for those greedy sloppy agents..

Thank you for the reply.

I called VFS (Southern region) ofiice and told them about the problem. They asked me few details regarding my dad's appointment and passport. They crosschecked whether I am genuine candidate or not, then the operator provided me with the security code(my grandma's name), which I mistyped while scheduling the interview.

I was able to download the appointment letter of my dad after that.

So thanks to the VFS people for helping me in this situation.
