I am a U.S. citizen and am in the process of adopting an adult son who is a citizen of an east African country. My question is whether his chances of getting a visitor visa would be enhanced or decreased once the adoption is final. He is never married, mid-20s, and childless. He has twice applied unsuccessfully for a visa in the last 18 months. The last time, he was told that he should work at his job for another year. He was unsuccessful despite numerous letters of invitation from U.S. citizens and my I-134 promise to support him while he's in the U.S. (He had lots of other documentation. The last time, the embassy considered his documents to be very impressive, but he was denied anyway.) Thanks for your advice.
