mistake on ds-160!!!

hi everyone,
im new to this site. i really hope someone can help me out asap. so i recently applied online for B2 tourist visa and took the confirmation letter to the american express in karachi. i gave my fee and received my interview date. (july 7th)
but i just realized that i made a mistake in the section where it says 'who will be paying for your trip' i put down 'self' but i intended to put down 'parent'. how can i fix this. i dont have much time to reschedule another interview. do u think it will be fine if i go for my interview and take my dad's bank statement, income tax and some other documents with me and just explain to the officer what happened??
plz help!! i dont have much time!

You will need to re-fill the form, cancel the apointment, and book another apointment.

You dont have to pay the fees again. You should cancel the appointment and refill the form and do the appointment booking process all over again.

i have one more question... during the interview is it necessary to show bank statements? if i had put 'self' then they would just ask me if i was paying for my own stay and i would say 'yes' right? or do they ask for evidence at that moment to make sure that i have enough money to pay for my trip?

Hi seems like u messed up things but not that worse..go cancel ur appointment and fill DS-160 form again take your appointment. U don' have to pay fee until u showed up in appointment. Fill all of the informations correctly as per ur knowledge. Although at the time of interview its written nowhere that you have to bring all these supporting documents like bank statements, birth certificate (except for kids under 14) visa I-24 etc etc... these r documents which we prepare to prove we r saying true in case they doubt on us..sometym VO just ask 1or 2 simple questions & tell u go r accepted or rejected for visa (without even seeing ur folder which u have prepared after a month labor)...Sometym they grill u like anything. So be ready if they ask for any prove cuz & do tell everything true, they r very smart will catch u in secs.
