sponsor documents

Hi ,

My father is planning to attend visitor visa interview and my husband is sponsoring for that. My question is how old the sponsor documents can be?
In some forums they say max 6 months, and in others they say 2 months...
please clarify this...

They should be "recent". There is no specific law regarding what exactly is recent. But if I were in your situation, I would not risk using 6 months old documents. Many things could have changed in those 6 months.
