My mom has an american visitors visa and visits us every second year in California. She is planning on coming to visit next year, April to July, but would like to bring my 3 year old nephew with her to come and visit. My nephew is her grandson, and him and his dad is living with her permanently.
What would the procedure be to get my 3 year old nephew a visitor's visa?
How much will it cost?
How long before the time should we apply for the visa?
Will my 3 year old nephew have to go to the Consulate, in Cape Town with my mom?
Will his dad who's living with my mom, but who will not accompany them on this trip, have to write a letter of permission?
