My parents had their visa interview at Hyd consulate today. My dad works for Defence Accounts - they do payroll for armed forces, but just by seeing defence the officer asked him to fill a form. She took his passport and said they would verify and stamp the passport in 2 weeks. How long do they really take to process? Any idea?

Sure, they did say 2 weeks. But I see different experiences from 6 days to 6 weeks. Can I be sure that they would process in 2 weeks? I think this is a case of technology alert.
Also, if a visa is stamped after security clearance, is the visa given only for an year? Please reply.Comment
