Tourist Visa: can my US naturalized citizen girlfriend, sponsor me using i-134 form?

Hi,

My girlfriend is a naturalized citizen of US. She moved there from India and has been living there for almost 10 years now.. I am planning to visit her on a tourist visa.. My questions are,

1. Can she sponsor me using the form i-134 (Affidavit of Support)? In the relationship field can she write, "friend"? I am being advised that this may not work, since the embassy might suspect that we may marry.. which is NOT our intention.

2. If she can send me the filled i-134, does she need to send a hand written invite letter as well? Or is i-134 good enough?

1. Writing friend is fine. You can tell your true intentions and be prepared to explain that. And hope for the best.

2. Invitation letter is helpful. It does not have to be handwritten. Can be computer typed too.
