  • can anyone accompany my grand mother in the consulate

Here is the story... My dad, when he was in the consulate, saw small children and elder people were accompanied by other family members (who just accompanied the other person..). Now that we are planning for a visitor visa for my grand mother, I'm just wondering whether my dad or any other family member can accompany her in the consulate. I could not find much information about this. If anybody knows anything about this or any clues.. please please post a reply. Thank you so much in advance.
My dad got 10 yr multiple visa and grand mother got rejected once in Dec 2004.

Non-applicants are generally not allowed unless really really needed and prior permission is required. It is given in rare cases.
