Passport kept giving pink form under section 221(g)

Hi there,
My husband had the visa interview for his B2 visa today along with my three
three year old daughter in New Delhi,US consulate. Their trravel is based on my valid visa for US.
The interviewer went ahead to grant my daughter the visa but for my husband's visa told " You are eligible for the visa but we need to do some administrative checks before we go ahead and grant visa to you ". He doesn't have any criminal record or anything that was quoted incorrect in the form so I am pretty positive about what was in there and what he asked and was answered.
My only worry here is even after acknowledging that he is valid for the tourist visa they pulled it back.
Does anyone has a similar experience ?

I went for my interview in 2nd week of June along with wife and kids.My wife and kids issued B1/B2 Visas.I was handed over a pink slip with 221g.Still Waiting.

Hi There,
I have a similar situation.
My better half and I attended the Visa interview for a B2 visitor visa on 25/08/2010 at delhi no documents checked during the interview, although we had all the relevant documents to prove our geniuiness and intentions . My wife was given the visa whereas mine was put on adminitrative processing.They gave a pink slip and asked me to check on line for update of status, they also said it will take 3-4 weeks for the processing but now it is more than 8 weeks and still waiting for my passport and visa.
Did your husband get his visa? After how many days? Did you contact the consulate at any time?

Similar situation

I was interviewed together with my wife at the Manila US embassy on September 13, 2010. She was given 10 year non immigrant visa and she received her passport within a week. However, the interviewing officer told me that even though in principle I am given a similar visa, some background check will be done before the release of my passport. Up to date, in spite of me sending them many emails, they have not returned my passport. This week I finally sent them a written request by express mail to return my passport even without a visa as I need it to travel to another country but nothing has happened yet.

Can some one help me please? How can I get my passport back from them?
