Tourist Visa and Entry Visa

I am a US Borned US Citizen with a valid Indian Tourist Visa and US Passport. My Mom was Borned in India but has been a US Citizen for many years. She has a a valid US Passport but an expired Tourist Visa.

Should my Mom apply for Entry Visa or Tourist Visa? Would I be able to travel to India with Tourist Visa or should I apply again for Entry Visa. Is thier a lockdown for anyone traveling to India? What if we both have had our Covid vaccinations.

Please reply as we are hoping to travel to India this year.

SudeshK Tourist visa is currently suspended. You either need an emergency visa or OCI to go to India. Existing entry visas are allowed. Don't know if they are issuing new entry visas anymore. You need to check website of your area's Consulate for latest information updates.
