who should apply for parents visitor visa

Hi , This is Neha,
I want to invite my parents from India for 1 month.
Please guide me if it is more foolproof if my spouse should invite them or I should do it, so that they get the tourist visa smoothly.

Please note that my spouse is on fulltime job, I am on contractual job, and my spouse has already got his own parents(my inlaws) visa in January 2010 only.
