I am on my Stem-Opt status. My wife had to leave USA to attend a family emergency recently. Her F-2 visa expired. However, she also has a visitors visa B1/B2 which is valid till April 16 2023. Now, my question is whether she can enter in on B1/B2 visa? She plans on arriving with our infant son (USA citizen) on May 6, 2021. Would there be a complication regarding her being on F-2 for the past 6 years? In other words, would it be hard for the consular office to be convinced that her visit would be temporary? FYI, my STEM OPT expires in Dec 2021. Please advise.
