B2 Visitor Visa

I have been granted a 3 year B2 visitor visa for the USA to accompany my partner, who holds a 3 year H1B visa.

Even though my visa is for 3 years, I still have to leave the country every 6 months.

Do I have to travel back to the UK/Europe to get the 6 months or can I travel to Mexico/Canada?

I have had conflicting advice from 2 lawyers on this - one says yes, the other no, so I am confused!

You need to travel out of North America can come back.

However, anyway, you can't be staying in the U.S. all the time just by going out and coming right back in.
