Hello,
I recently filled out a DS 160 for my sister and her family for a visit to USA. I finally got a visa interview date. My sister lives in Visakhapatnam, so I believe they fall under the Hyderabad consular district. Their main purpose to visit USA was to celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday in USA. So we did not have enough time to wait and I went ahead and mentioned the location of interview as Chennai consulate because we were informed that the hyderabad consulate was not taking in any appointments due to some renowation. Now my nephew's birthday has come and gone and I finally got an interview date at the Hyderabad Consulate. My question is: Would it be any problem for my sister and her family at the time of the interview because of this mistake? Due to urgency I had to select Chennai consulate as location of interview, now they got a interview at hyderabad consulate. Kindly advice on how to proceed.
Should they be worried about this or is it just another mistake that can be taken care of?
