Tourist from Portugal visiting the US

Good afternoon,

I have relatives visiting the U S from Portugal, can they take a short trip to the Caribbean - Punta Cana - Dominican Republic and re-enter the U S without problems.

The reason I ask is that I have purchased two airline tickets as a surprise to them for one week in the Caribbean- leaving Newark, New Jersey arriving in Punta Cana

and leaving Punta Cana, arriving in Newark, New Jersey, one week later.

They have round trip tickets from Portugal/Newark, New Jersey and back home from Newark, New Jersey/Portugal.

Their stay in the United States is only 7 weeks.

I would like to know if there are any issues/problems if they leave the U S for a brief time and re-enter the U S once again.

That depends upon whether they have single or multiple entry visa.
