Sponsor's responsibility for B2 visitor

I am planning to sponsor my blood relatives B2 visa.
How far is a sponsor responsible for a visitor? Is it just limited to financial responsibility or am I responsible for the safe and on time return of the visitor too?
Normal visa granted these days is for 10 years multiple entry visa (as I have noticed), would I be responsible for the individuals future visits too, even if I am unaware of them?

You are responsible for everything. You must make sure that they return home in a timely manner and don't overstay.

If you are not sure of their intentions, don't sponsor them.
