  • Minimum Required balance in Bank account

    Hello All

I know this answer is there in the documents required portion of visitor but still would like to make some things clear...I am planning to call my parents
in next couple of months...I am just having 3500$ in my account and by the time i will send the documents to my parents it will be 5000$ + so is 5000/per person is required to get visitor visa or 5000$ should be enough for my parents.

    Please help me on this.

I guess $5000 bank balance + income proof might be enough. If X is earning, say $60K per year, and he/she has $5000 in bank balance, he should be able to support both his parents easily.

Based on my personal and friends experience, the visa officer looks at pay stubs and bank balances mainly for H4 and F1/F2 visas. He is more concerned about 'social and economic ties in the home country' for visitor visa. I know a priest who is earning very less (I dont know how much) couldn't get H4 for his wife and child because the visa officer thought his salary is not enough to support 3 people. But, I never heard of a visitor visa being rejected because there is not enough bank balance.

Hello Everybody, I have heard that, more the money, the more the chance of positive result.
Keep more than sufficient amount of money could cost you while your trip.
This is the best way, calculate by yourself and than double that money. And pray to God, that officer was in good mood, while your files comes to him.
