Passport expiry

I am planning to invite my mother-in-law and father-in-law around end of Feb/05 and beggining of March/05. They are planning to stay for 6 months.

My FIL's passport expires around end of sept'05 and my MIL's passport expires around end of dec'05. Will it be a problem for VISA since my FIL's VISA expires around 6 months? Or will they be given a 6 month visa only since their passport expires after 6 months. Any suggestions, experiences etc. will be greatly appreciated.

I don't see any problem.

They may get 6 months visa or longer duration. It may or may not depend upon passport expiration date. It depends upon the consular officer.
