Applying for Visitor visa when we are in EAD and H1

We are waiting for I140 & 485 approval. My husband is still working in H1 and I am using EAD to work. Above all these, we have filed for H1 extension for my husband and H4 extension for me.

When my Parents attend the interview next month for visitor visa, if they are asked about the visa status of myself and my husband, what should they say.

If you are working on EAD, you are NOT on H4 anymore. Why have you filed H4 extension for yourself?

Because it was filed for my husband, it was filed for me too. Is this wrong. Does that mean that, i am getting back to H4. What should my Parents tell at the time of their interview, if they are asked about my status.

Once you use EAD, you are no longer on H4.

Most likely, your H4 may be denied. But nothing to worry about. You are fine.

Thank you for the response. But, how will the INS know, that i am using the EAD to work. What if, my H4 gets approved. These questions are just for knowledge sake. Will all this affect GC.
