Passport validity (less than 6 months before interview)

Hello,

I booked an interview for B2 visa, but they rescheduled my appointment (covid reasons), so my passport will expire 6 months after my interview, and i read i can't entrer the US with a 6 months passport and i don't know if they'll accept it to give me the visa...

My question is, can i renew my passport and come to the interview with my old passport (the one in DS-160) + the new one. Because i can't change passport number in the DS-160 i submitted..

Hi,
Yes.. That's possible. If you go to Interview before your current passport expires then carry both the passports showing even you have renewed passport.. If you go after your current passport, then you will need to change passport number in the form.. You can call to customer support for any change.
