  • Effect on Parent's B1/B2 visa renewal due to Child's Citizenship application?

    Hi,
What is the impact of a child's citizenship application on their parent's visitor visa renewal?
Me & my sibling are both eligible to apply for US citizenship this year.
Our parent's visitor visa is expiring & they will apply for renewal this year(once the ban lifts).

If both children apply for citizenship, will it have an impact on parent's US Visitor visa renewal?
Is it advisable only 1 child apply & get the citizenship and the other to wait(While parents apply for their visitor visa)?

The end goal is ultimately bring parents to USA & get their citizenship process started while they are in this country.
For this one of the children need to get citizenship first.

    Please advise.

    Hi,
    Please see my Answers below.

Answer: I don't think, you will have a problem doing immigrant petition for you. If your parents are meeting B visa requirements(Which is temporary stay) then it will not have any issues on both of them status.
If both children apply for citizenship, will it have an impact on parent's US Visitor visa renewal?
Answer: As per my knowledge, NO.
Is it advisable only 1 child apply & get the citizenship and the other to wait(While parents apply for their visitor visa)?
Answer: As I mentioned above, your parents temporary visa renewal will not impact your petition or wise versa. So if you have any other reason to file one petition now and later another petition you can do so.
The end goal is ultimately bring parents to USA & get their citizenship process started while they are in this country.
Answer: Hope I answered for this question on another post that you posted in different room.
    Thanks
