Can parents with B2 VISA get NIE approval to travel USA?

I am expecting a baby and I would like my parents here in USA with me to support me with delivery and my new born.
My parents have a valid B2 VISA, can they travel from INDIA to USA? Does anyone applied for NIE approval for parents with B2 VISA? If yes, Can I know process.

Hi,
I am not sure about eligibility about your reason. But, I would say, you can try. Please send email to consulate/embassy to request the same with exact reason. You can also include documents, if any. If that is acceptable, they will approve via Email.
