Chances don't really just depend upon whether they apply together or separately.

Please tell me as i am totally confused.
someone suggested me that if they apply together there are lot of chances to get visa as my dad is working ,

My parents and mother-in-law got visa recently and for the same reason that we are expecting. Ofcourse, never mentioned about pregnancy at the interview. We knew my father cannot come but still he also went along with my mother for the visa. Parents got visa for 1 year.

My father-in-law cannot come so my mother-in-law went for the visa and she was given 10 yr multiple entry.

Its tough to say if mother will get visa since father is staying back. I know about cases where mother could not get visa inspite of father not going. Make sure you have all the documents and prepare them well for the interview and rest depends on the officer's mood and luck. Good luck.

From some accounts that I've heard from friends, it is

slightly more advantageous for both parents to appear together. The percieved disadvantage in the mother appearing by herself is that the interviewing officer might assume that one of the reasons for her wanting to visit the US is for baby-sitting.

Again, that's just an assumption, not a trend. But if I were you, I'd still have them appear together.
