  • Visitor visa (B1/B2) renewal - Not getting interview waiver

Hello - my parents visitor visa (B1/B2) expires in Dec 2021 and I was renewing their visa. Filled DS160, made the fee payment. When I proceed to the next step I get an option to schedule an interview and don't get an option for dropbox. They fulfill all the criteria mentioned below which is needed for dropbox
    • You have a previous U.S. visa in the same class as the visa for which you wish to apply
    • Your most recent visa was issued in India
    • You received the visa after January 1, 2008
    • Your prior visa is not annotated “Clearance Received” or “Department Authorization”.
    • Your most recent visa (in the same class for which you are applying) was issued on or after my 14th birthday
    • You most recent visa (in the same class for which you are applying) was not lost/stolen or cancelled.
    • You have no refusals for a visa in any class after your most recent visa issuance
Any idea why they are not getting an option for dropbox ?

    Hi,
Have you given Answer for certain questions in ustraveldocs page? Please note, Once you gave the Answer for some questions then you will get confirmation on eligible of Interview waiver. Afterwards you can make payment then select the location for dropping off the documents.. Please note, for drop box you will select only in the place of OFC appointment. Once you schedule the appointment, your drop off schedule will be listed under VAC Appointment details.
    Thanks
