I became unemployed..in laws visa needed

Dear Friends,

I am in a unique situation.

My wife is pregnant. I was about to send I-134 as sposor for my in laws for coming to US and today(01/28) my project was terminated and I am out of a job. in other words i cannot get an employment letter.

I have a GC and wife is still working. However she earns around $25K.

We combined have enough income to show that we can support my in laws.

My questions are
1. Can my wife be a sponsor(i.e fill I134 for them).
2. Me being unemployed would it affect chance of them getting Visa.
3. Is my wife's employment letter and our joint returns for last 3 years and mine/her pay stubs till now a good proof of financial support?

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

So having a good amount (total) in bank is no good? Employment is a MUST?

What are your suggestions?(We are very depressed by this development and dont see any other way than to hope for best)

Anyway you can show the proof that you can support them financially is good.

employment proof gives steady income proof.

Nothing is must regarding the documents.
