Wife's Travel on B1/B2,Husband on L1 ???

I am on LIB visa in the US and my wife has a 10 years multiple entry B1/B2 visa.She is in India for delivery of our first child.I have a few question for her return

1.My Visa expires in April 2011,but have an valid I94 until October 2011.So is the case with my wife's L2 Visa.

2.As my wife has the B1/B2 visa,Can we apply B1/B2 visa for my new born child so that he can come along with my wife to the US in April'2011 andstay with me for 6 months and then we all return back to India after my project is over?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

It would be best to apply for L2 for the child.

though i have a valid i-94 until Oct'2011,but my visa expires in april'2011.

so i m not sure if i have enough time to apply and even if i apply,can they come back to US considering if my wife/kid come in March'11 and visa expires in Apr'11.the time gap is very less.

hence i was thinking of applying B2 visa for my kid as he can come along with my wife,who also has a B2 visa,apart from the L2.

pls suggest.
