Reg Parents Visitor's visas

Hi,
My parents were supposed to go to Chennai,for their visas this Feb.Unfortunately my dad met with an accident and is not able to travel.Can my mom stll go and attend the interview or should she modify/cancel the appointment?Need an answer ASAP.
