Hi group,
I am currently in US on my L1 visa and have sponsored my mom's visa. It got rejected on the basis of 'potential immigrant' case.
My mom is a widowed home-maker. I am her only daughter, and am single. She has family assets that are to be taken care of along with her mom & brother [deaf & dumb]. When she appeared for her visa interview, the officer asked her just 1 question [How many children do you have?] and rejected her visa application.
My L1 expires on September 30 '2010 and I ll be in India for a month to get it renewed. I ll be coming to US again in November.
Could you please suggest a way to get my mother's visa accepted?
1) Can she apply for her visa when I am in India? as if some of my cousin is sponsoring her for a visit or for some friend's graduation?
2) Can I request the congressman/senator to issue a letter? Does this work?
or does she just needs to keep trying and trying?
Thanks
