visitor visa for parents

hello there
my mother is still employed till 2015,as school teacher going for interview with my dad who is retired from govt service,
my visa agent adviced him not to mention my mother is working as it will be hard for her to get leave sanction letter and all, wont be given 10 yr visa if applying while employed
from experince in immihelp both of these statements doesnt make sense for me
i have already applied online and have barcode but havent paid fees and scheduled interview yet


1)if the agent puts a new appplication and use that barcode to schedule interview consulate will be able to pull the old application by any chance
2)is it true she wont get 10 yr visa if she say she is employed and going on vacation
please help

2. Agent is totally wrong. Why do you have to use such people who don't have basic knowledge and give you wrong advice?

If you are employed, that is one of the ties to the home country that will help you get the visa. If you are not working or retired, you may not come back. Therefore, mention everything truthfully.

i have submitted the online application , but my parents were unable to travel to cochin to pay the hdfc fees, thats the only help i needed from that agent but he tried to mess things up any way i made the payement now,

my parents visa granted at chennai today
they have recently visited my sister in qatar

there was couple of qustions about that trip and thats all
