  • Tourist Visa , Interview waiver .

Hello, me and my parents have a valid Tourist Visa , (10 year multiple entry , obtained in 2012) for the USA. We just wanted to know if an IN-PERSON interview waiver might be available in India , right now in order to obtain a Visa extension. All our Visas are still valid and have not expired their validity. Has anyone availed of the Interview waiver facility? Thanks

    Hi,
Since you and your parents have already B2 visa, I just curious, for what purpose are you checking again about Interview or Interview waiver? Are you prefer for B2 visa extension? Kindly clarify.
In generally, Interview waiver is available at this moment, If candidate is eligible for certain visa category.
    Thanks

I have the same question. My parents already have an active B1/B2 visa. Looks like they don't need an interview. Would it be an automatic renewal once they apply?

nothing is automatic....a CO can decide to call someone in even if they might otherwise qualify for some drop box procedure.

Answer: There is no auto renewal visa option available.. If you want to extend your visa, need to follow DS 160 filing, visa fees paying then Interview schedule for either Interview or Drop off the documents under Interview waiver program.
            Thanks

                Hi,
                Which country you belongs too?
As per my knowledge, most of the US consulates are resuming their regular process. Very especially, In India, regular visa appointments are resumed.
Just start processing of DS 160 and scheduling appointments.
                Thanks
