Hi,
I've been refused a B1 B2 visa in the Delhi consulate in December 2008 after which i got admission to a university in Canada. I then tried a second time from Canada in january 2009 but got refused again. Both times I applied my wife and daughter were in the US visiting family. And both times they asked me during the interview about my wife and daughter and I responded truthfully but they were not happy about it and asked me to show ties to my country of residence. My wife and daughter are now with me in canada. I would like to know the grounds for my refusal and what I would need to show from my side to get a visa. There is an international conference taking place in the US next month but I am reluctant to try for a visa after my recent denial. Could anyone please tell me what are the chances of getting a visa on the third try or if applying for a visa to attend a conference would work our given my previous history with the consulate.
Thanks and regards,
RB
