    Hi All, I have got my parents and in laws Visitor visa approved from Chennai Consulate. Thanks to the excellent documentation from Immihelp .

    Just wanted to share the experience, which might help someone...

    I applied for B2 for my in-laws first, as my parents passport was not ready.
    They went for stamping on Sep 15.
    My parents went on Sep 27. Both at chennai consulate and everyone got visa for 10 years with multiple entry.

    As immihelp mentioned prepared all documents (Given below the list of docs I prepared) and put in all facts in application...

    Docs:

    File 1
    Original Passport
    2 Photos - They have returned the photos
    HDFC receipt
    Interview Letter
    DS160 Confirmation Letter
    Applicant Passport Copy - All pages

    File 2
    I-134 (Send them in Courier)
    Letter to Consulate (Send them in Courier)
    Invitation Letter (Send them in Courier)
    Self Affidavit on properties


    SECTION 1 - Employment Verification documents
    1. Employment letter (From the Courier)
    2. Salary Slips
    3. W2 Forms

    SECTION 2 - Bank details
    1. Letter From Bank (From the Courier)
    2. Six months bank statements

    SECTION 3 - Legal Status docs
    1. I-797
    2. I-129 - Old
    3. I-129 - New

    SECTION 4 - Sponsor details
    1. Address proofs (2-Nos).
    2. My Passport
    3. Birth Certificate Affidavit (As I lost my Birth Certificate)
    4. SSLC Copy
    5. Ration Card/Voters Id Copies

    SECTION 5 - Only for In-laws
    1. Spouse Passport copy - All pages
    2. Marriage Certificate copy

    In a Bag
    1. Photos - As much as we have from old albums
    2. Marriage Album (Small)
    3. All property documents (English/Malayalam)
    4. Pension Bank account book
    5. Original Ration Card, Voters ID

      A: He came here on vacation last year. So we wanted to arrange his marriage. Now everything looks good for us.

        need some details

        Hi sir,

        First Of all Congrats to u..

        I'm also thinking to sponser both my parents and in-laws. .. how much time gap should we take to sponser both of them..

        Is there any minimum amount of balance that we should show.. can you please post those details...

          processing details

          I don't think there is a predefined time gap between the processing. I had interview for my in-laws on Sep 15 and for my parents on Sep 27. And I kept and showed an avg of $5000 for each applicant
