B1/B2 renewal-doesnt show drop box option

Hi, I am trying to make an appointment for B1/B2 visa appointment for my mother, but the profile prompts for OFC and Consular appointments instead of Interview Waiver appointment. Has anyone else seen this problem? if so, was it resolved and how?
I emailed the USTraveldocs desk and they said Interview waiver is currently suspended, but looks like folks are able to book drop box appointments for B1/B2 today. Any information is appreciated!

Answer: Just curious to confirm, Interview waiver will be determined as per questions and answer you provide at CGI federal page.. Did you meet those requirements? have you given answer for the questions?

Answer: Is it? Even I also heard few guys got Interview waiver..
I recommend first check requirements for Interview waiver then proceed ahead.

My parents are also eligible for dropbox (same visa category, expired in last couple of months, never denied etc.); but the portal never asked those questions in the first place. It directly asks to make an appointment for OFC (dates available) and consular interview (no dates available); so I am just sitting waiting for dates right now.

How did you find out renewalseeker that some folks were able to do interview waiver dropbox for B1/B2 in recent times?

Shikhanshu Agarwal - I was able to book B1/B2 drop box appointment for my mom. once you login to the portal, I had to click on new application/schedule appointment on the left and that took me through the questions and showed the drop box eligibility. then it continued to schedule calendar for VAC appointment then confirmation page. Please try that. When I booked, appointments were available from jan-may. Good luck.

renewalseeker wow! I will try this as well! But if I do a new application in cgi portal, will it reuse my ds-160 number and visa fees?

Shikhanshu Agarwal - yes, it picked up the already entered profile/DS160/Receipt number

I noted below on CGI website make me think that this US Visa appointment may not be available till Oct 22.

Please Note:
Appointment slots in October 2022 and later are just place holder appointments that will enable you to submit an expedited appointment request.

Which OFC or Consular center do you receive appointments at?
Which appointment date/month?
