Do I need to show my air ticket at my interview?

Dear sir/madam,

I am planing to go to USA to attend scientific workhop in a university scheduled to be held from 3 to 6 oct.2006.I have invitation letter from the organisers.I have an appointment for for interview for nonimigrant visa on 23.9.10 in mumbai.Do I need to show air tickets also at the time of interview?
