Current difficulties B1/B2 China

Does anyone have any feedback on the current willingness of the consulates in China to issue visa.

The applicant pre COVID would normally seem like a slam dunk, 50-100k RMB savings, family job etc back in China - just wondering how much the risk of Chinese made border closures or additional restrictions is impacting the consulates desire to issue visas.
